Independence Electric is a mission-ready subcontractor providing a rare combination of PE-led electrical engineering design and master electrician execution. As a certified SDVOSB and HUBZone firm, they specialize in navigating the complexities of federal and municipal infrastructure. From managing critical medium voltage outages at government facilities to wastewater treatment upgrades, they provide prime contractors with the technical QC oversight, submittal expertise, and past performance necessary to meet stringent government requirements.
Precision is paramount when working on critical infrastructure. As the QC Specialist and Electrical Engineer for the Electrical Ductbank Relocation Project at NCTCS Cutler, Jonathan Gay managed the operation’s technical backbone. Beyond performing submittal reviews and managing RFIs, he served as the designated Outage Manager. In this role, he wrote job safety plans and supervised safety and work performance across multiple stakeholders to ensure that critical mission capabilities remained uninterrupted and secure.
